Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct (referred to as the "Code") is an integral component of the Terms of Use of the Investorverse (the “Site”). If you haven't reviewed them yet, please consult the Terms at here prior to continuing. Your use of the Site is contingent upon your complete acceptance of these Terms.
No shared accounts/multiple accounts
Account access must not be shared and you must not sign up for more than one account. If you can’t remember your login credentials, please contact us for assistance.
Behaviour
You must respect fellow users and refrain from utilising the Investorverse stock forum or message function for the purpose of threatening, harassing, stalking, defaming, or abusing others. You must not use language that is racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory.
Accuracy
Ensure that the information you post about stocks in the chat forums is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge. If you are uncertain about any information, please ensure that you use appropriate qualifications or clarification.
Appropriate Use
You must not use the message or forum functions for any illegal activities, and refrain from posting information or material that violates or encroaches upon anyone's contractual rights, intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy rights, or any other rights.
Additionally, you must not use the Site for the transmission of junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unsolicited mass distribution of email.
We advise that you do not share or reveal personally identifiable information about children, and avoid posting material that exploits individuals under 18 years of age.
Furthermore, you must not impersonate any other user or staff member of The Investorverse.
You must not post any sexually explicit content, including strategically covered nudity, partial nudity, sheer or see-through clothing, lewd or provocative poses, and close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches.
You are responsible for what you post
You are accountable for, and may face liability for, any statements or posts on the Site, including but not limited to violations of securities, defamation, and other laws in Australia and other jurisdictions.
While we do not regularly screen, edit, or review content posted in the stock forums of message function , we retain the right to monitor or remove any posting (or part thereof) at any time without prior notice.
You are responsible for your use of information from the Site
The Site offers users a space to engage in discussions about investing and related events, including information, news, opinions, and recommendations from various individuals and organisations. Investorverse does not support the recommendations or opinions expressed by its users, and it does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any content provided on the Site.
You bear responsibility for your investment decisions.
Although the Site aims to assist you in gathering information that may aid in your decision-making, it is your sole responsibility to analyse and verify any information you intend to depend on. Investorverse does not offer investment advice or provide securities recommendations. Specifically, Investorverse does not conduct any personalised needs analysis for any individual.
Posts/comments from other users might be misleading or deceptive, whether intentional or unintentional. The Site bears no responsibility for any content provided by any user.
User Identities
We require members to use their real identities to encourage transparency and better conduct on our site, however we cannot guarantee that users are who they claim to be.
Right to user content
By posting content on the stock forums or any other area of the Site, you agree that this content becomes the property of Investorverse.
Adhering to the Code
The Site's policy is to enable users to freely and openly discuss issues (in accordance with the principles outlined in this Code and the Terms). Investorverse refrains from taking sides in disagreements or disputes among Site users, and therefore, requests not to be involved in such matters.
However, if you feel that a message has been posted in breach of the Code, or any other Terms of the Site, we request that you report it to us immediately using the form found at the Info Desk.
If you suspect that a message has been posted in contravention of securities laws, it is advisable to reach out to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) via their website: www.asic.gov.au. ASIC can also be contacted for complaints related to companies, inquiries about company administration, shareholders' rights, ASIC policy and procedure, licensing investment advisers, matters concerning auditors and liquidators, financial reporting, and general enquiries.
